• • The functional unity of the body-mind anatomy, physiology, psychology, and emotional-relational experiences.
    
  • Touch skills. The language of touch, the three sensory touch systems, working with the sympathetic, parasympathetic, interoceptive, and neuroceptive systems.
  • Self-directed touch. Because therapists are now giving more sessions online, the training brings an enhanced focus to self-directed touch protocols and self-care guidance.
  • Personal Somatic Practice. We intend to support you in establishing a personal somatic contemplative practice by providing an in-depth interoceptive and proprioceptive experience of your own body that helps you teach your clients how to work with their bodies.
  • Demonstration sessions, live or recorded with real-time commentary.
  • Breakout practices and Q&A.
    

• • Online exchange practice sessions. 50 minutes + 10-min debrief following Modules 1, 2, and 3, for a total of three exchange sessions. Sessions are held at a time of your choice with a focus on the material covered in the previous module. You can choose your practice partner, or our staff will pair you with a practice partner compatible with your time zone.   • Session reflection notes. One page ― 500 words ― on your experience as the practicer and receiver. Questions arising from your exchange sessions can be brought to the Cohort Case Consultations.
  •  Please Note: If you are unable to attend a module at the time of its delivery, please contact our student advisor at laura@neuroaffectivetouch.com

• • To clinically anchor theory and practice, Cohort Case Consultations are held following Modules 1, 2, and 3.
  • These are included in your tuition. Participants must register and will automatically receive the Zoom link with their registration receipt.
  • You must attend these three Cohort Case Consultations to receive your Certificate of Attendance.

• • Hands-on protocols for the theory and clinical material learned in Modules 1, 2, and 3.
  • The in-person Touch Intensive fully anchors the healing power of the touch experience.

✅ Post Training

We offer ongoing Study Groups and online and in-person Individual and Small Group Consultations for graduates and current students who wish to further their expertise beyond the Foundation Training and qualify for the NeuroAffective Touch Practitioner Certification. Current students are invited to attend. Study Groups may be attended live or recorded. For confidentiality reasons, Consultation recordings are not available.

We will soon launch the NeuroAffective Touch Forum, where students and graduates can stay connected as a community. The Forum will include areas of specialization where practitioners with specific expertise can share, grow, and refine their somatic skills.

Evaluating your application is contingent on our receiving both your application and tuition payment. We may request a short conversation with you to ensure our training is a good fit. You will receive an email confirmation of your acceptance into the training. If we assess that the training is not a good fit, you will receive a full refund.
