• • • The functional unity of the body-mind’s anatomy, physiology, psychology, and emotional-relational experiences.
      
    • Touch skills and self-directed touch. Because therapists are now giving more sessions online, the training brings an enhanced focus to self-directed touch protocols and self-care guidance. We intend to support you in establishing a personal somatic contemplative practice by providing an in-depth interoceptive and proprioceptive experience of your own body that helps you teach your clients how to work with their bodies.

• • • Online exchange practice sessions ― 50 minutes + 10-min debrief following Modules 1, 2, and 3, for a total of three exchange sessions. Sessions are held at a time of your choice with a focus on the material covered in the previous module. You can choose your practice partner, or our staff will pair you with a practice partner compatible with your time zone. If you have a dual relationship conflict with another attendee, please let our student advisor know at laura@neuroaffectivetouch.com
    • Session reflection notes. One page ― 500 words ― on your experience as the practicer and receiver. Questions arising from your exchange sessions can be brought to the Cohort Case Consultations.

• • • To clinically anchor theory and practice, Cohort Case Consultations are held following Modules 1, 2, and 3.
    • These are included in your tuition. Participants must register and will automatically receive the Zoom link with their registration receipt.
    • You must attend these three Cohort Case Consultations to receive your Certificate of Attendance.

    • The in-person Touch Intensive fully anchors the healing power of the touch experience.

We offer ongoing Study Groups and Online and In-Person Small Group Consultations for graduates and current students who wish to further their expertise beyond the Foundation Training and qualify for the NeuroAffective Touch Practitioner Certification. Study Groups may be attended live or recorded. For confidentiality reasons, recordings of the Consultations are not available.

We will soon launch the NeuroAffective Touch Forum, where students and graduates can stay connected as a community. The Forum will include areas of specialization where practitioners with specific expertise can share, grow, and refine their somatic skills.
